Baripada: The District and Sessions Court today awarded life imprisonment to a youth for murdering his mother in Amla village under Baisinga police limits in Mayurbhanj district.
Judge Arvind Patnaik convicted Hari Marandi and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
Hari Marandi attacked his 70-year-old mother Jambir Marandi over family feud. Hari crushed her mother on the ground killing her on the spot. Baisinga police arrested the accused and produced him in court.
On the basis of the statement of witnesses, investigation and medical report, the court pronounced the verdict
