Odisha Makes Mandatory For College, University Lecturers To Submit Anti-Drug Declaration

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has made it mandatory for lecturers to submit an Anti-drug declaration form in their respective colleges and universities.

A Standing Committee meeting of the Odisha Assembly today made a recommendation in this regard.

To make the campus free from drug, the government earlier made it mandatory for students to sign an anti-drug declaration form while taking admissions.

“We have suggested the Odisha government to ensure that students will submit undertaking of anti-drug declaration before taking admissions in educational institutions. We have urged to implement the same norm for the lecturers as well in the state,” said Bhupinder Singh, chief of the standing committee.

The provision has been implemented or the lecturers of Plus 2, Plus 3 colleges and Universities. “Our objective is to keep educational campuses free from drug and alcohol,  Singh added.
