Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet on Monday gave its approval for creation of a new Excise Station at Koksara for strengthening of Excise administration in Kalahandi district.
The creation of new Excise Station at Koksara aims at strengthening excise administration at grassroots level and curb increasing trend of Excise related crimes, inflow of non-duty paid /duplicate liquor, illegal distillation and sale of ‘Illicitly distilled’ (ID) liquor and to generate legitimate revenue to Government Exchequer.
