Bhubaneswar: The State Cabinet today approved a proposal to re-structure cadre of radiographers to provide better health care service at the grass root level.
In view of the mandate under the revised Indian Public Health Standard (IPHS) guidelines published in the year 2022 by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, the State is committed to make all public health care facilities in the State IPHS compliant, for providing better health care service to the people of the State.
Accordingly, the proposal for re-structuring of cadre of Radiographer has been approved in following manner with due concurrence of GA & PG Department and Finance Department in order to meet the Indian Public Health Standard (IPHS) norms.
Out of 695 base level posts of Radiographer, 40 posts shall stand abolished in lieu of creation of 479 posts at different levels in the cadre hierarchy arriving at total strength of 1160.
The post of Senior Radiographer Level-I, Radiation Safety Officer and Assistant Director have been created as promotional hierarchy.
In rule 9(viii), one of the eligibility criteria for direct recruitment is that one have possessed valid Registration or Renewal Certificates as on the date of submission of application form.
