Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati on Saturday visited the famous Atri hot spring in Khordha district along with First Lady Jayashree Kambhampati and highlighted its tourism potential.
Recalling his earlier visit to Atri with the President of India around two months ago, the Governor said he had expressed a desire to visit the hot spring after learning about the site.
Kambhampati appreciated Atri’s natural beauty and unique features, noting that the perennial hot spring attracts tourists and devotees due to its religious significance.
He suggested coordinated efforts by the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration, Revenue Department and Tourism Department for the development of Atri, saying improved facilities would attract more tourists and pilgrims and promote tourism in the region.
The Governor also said that providing necessary amenities through coordinated efforts of the concerned departments would help generate greater benefits for the local people.
Atri, known for its perennial hot spring, is one of Odisha’s natural and religious tourism destinations and attracts visitors throughout the year.
