Bhubaneswar: Senior Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leaders VK Pandian and Pranab Prakash Das, who rushed to Delhi by a chartered flight on Thursday evening amid seat-sharing talks between BJD and BJP, returned to Bhubaneswar on Friday afternoon.
After reaching the state capital, the two leaders left for Sankha Bhawan, the BJD party headquarters. However, they are yet to disclose the outcome of their meetings with the top BJP leaders in the national capital.
Pandian and Das’ visit to Delhi is significant keeping in view the speculations over reports regarding the BJD’s return to the NDA fold after 15 years. In Delhi, the two leaders of the regional party participated in marathon meetings with a core team of the saffron party at the Southern Avenue residence of Vijay Pal Singh Tomar, BJP MP and the party’s election in-charge in Odisha.
