VSSUT Bans Entry Of Students Wearing Western Clothes During Techno-Cultural Festival

Burla: Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) authorities on Thursday imposed a ban on students wearing western clothes during a cultural festival.

Going by the order of VSSUT Vice-Chancellor Dr Banshidar Majhi, all the students of VSSUT, Burla, are instructed to wear Indian traditional dresses during the Techno-Cultural Festival-2024.

“Western/vulgar/short dresses are strictly forbidden inside the University campus during the festival,” read the order.

Entry will be prohibited if students will be found wearing short clothes, half pants and mini-skirts during the event. Students who do not wear ethnic outfits during the event will be sent back from the main gate and will not be allowed to attend the function. Besides, the varsity authorities have decided to take action against the students who violate the order.
