Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday conducted an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas in Ganjam district in the aftermath of Cyclone Arnab.

Accompanied by Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari, the Chief Minister reviewed the situation in the affected regions of both Ganjam and Gajapati districts from the air.

Speaking after the survey, CM Majhi said: “Protecting the lives and property of the state’s residents during times of crisis is my utmost priority. Today, I reviewed the situation in the affected areas of Ganjam and Gajapati districts from the air, along with Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari.”

He assured that the entire administration is working round the clock to ensure uninterrupted supply of food, drinking water and emergency healthcare to the affected people. Instructions have been issued to further expedite relief and rescue operations.

The Chief Minister also directed officials to remain fully alert for the restoration of damaged roads and bridges, normalisation of electricity supply, and prevention of post-flood health issues.

“In this difficult time, your government stands firmly by your side. Stay strong, remain in safe places, follow the guidance of local administration and rescue teams, and extend a helping hand to one another; united as one, we will emerge free from this crisis very soon,” CM Majhi added.
