Athmalik MLA Ramesh Sai Quits BJD

Bhubaneswar: Athmalik MLA Ramesh Sai today resigned from the primary membership of BJD citing personal issues.

He sent his resignation letter to the party president Naveen Patnaik.

“For, personal reason, I am unable to continue in the party and hence, resigning from primary membership of Biju Janata Dal (BJD) with immediate effect”, he wrote in hsi letter.

His resignation came a day after the BJD announced Nalinikant Pradhan as the party candidate for the Assembly election from Athmalik seat.

He further stated that he is privileged to have worked with the party and its leader.

While tendering his resignation, he expressed his gratitude to the party president Naveen Patnaik and the leaders for their contribution towards his effective service to the party.

Sai was elected to the Assembly from Athmalik in a record margin of over 47,000 votes.
