Bhubaneswar: As many as 20 persons were injured after the Mo Bus they were travelling in met with a mishap near Pitapali Square in Khurda district on Saturday.
The bus was going to Khordha from Bhubaneswar when it fell into a roadside nullah. Passengers meanwhile blamed the driver of the Mo Bus for the mishap.
“Due to reckless driving, the mishap happened”, said an injured passenger.
According to sources, around 30 passengers were in the bus. The driver is reported to have lost control of the steering wheel which led to the accident. Condition of 10 passengers is said to be critical. While some injured were rushed to Khurda District Headquarters Hospital, critically injured were taken to Bhubaneswar for further treatment.
Following the mishap, a large number of commuters gathered at the spot and rescued the injured passengers from the bus.
The driver of the bus is said to have fled the scene after the incident.
