Bhubaneswar: A delegation of the BJP led by the party’s state unit vice-president Golak Mohapatra today met the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) and submitted a memorandum alleging a violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC).

The party has alleged that ASHA and Anganwadi workers are campaigning for BJD’s candidate for Berhampur Lok Sabha seat in sheer violation of MCC.

The party also alleged that a BLF President was campaigning for BJD with conch symbol which is a violation of MCC.

The BJP questioned how the SC/ST department sanctioned Rs 528 crore to an NGO when MCC was already in force.

The BJP has threatened to stage dharna in front of CEO’s office if no action is taken.
