Heatwave Continues To Singe Odisha, Balasore Hottest At 40.4°C At 11.30 AM

Bhubaneswar: Heatwave continues to singe Odisha as the day temperatures (maximum temperatures) reached 35°C or more in 11 places in the state by 11.30 am on Monday. Balasore was the hottest place in the state at 40.4°C before noon and Bhubaneswar came a close second recording 39.8°C during the period.

The day temperatures recorded at 11 places in Odisha at 11.30 am are given below:

  • Balasore: 40.4°C
  • Bhubaneswar: 39.8°C
  • Chandbali: 39.8°C
  • Keonjhar: 37.6°C
  • Gopalpur: 36.6°C
  • Sambalpur: 36.6°C
  • Jharsuguda: 36.4°C
  • Paradip: 35.4°C
  • Puri: 34.8°C
  • Hirakud: 34.8°C
  • Rourkela: 34.4°C

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by rain in 14 districts in Odisha today.
