Bhubaneswar: An analysis of the self-sworn affidavits of all 37 candidates contesting from the four constituencies of Berhampur, Kalahandi, Koraput, and Nabarangpur in the Odisha Phase I in Lok Sabha Phase IV elections 2024 by the Odisha Election Watch and Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) 17 candidates have assets worth more than Rs 1 crore.
BJP’s candidate from Kalahandi Lok Sabha constituency is the richest with total assets worth over Rs 41.89 crore followed by the Independent candidate from Berhampur V Chandra Sekhar Rs 28.70 crore and the Bharatiya Bikash Parishad candidate from Berhampur Rajendra Dalabehera Rs 10.30 crore.
On the other hand, the poorest among the 37 candidates is SUCI (C)’s candidate from Koraput Lok Sabha constituency Pramila Pujari with total assets worth Rs 20, 625.
