Bhubaneswar: Odia film ‘Delivery Boy’ has been selected to be screened at the Cannes World Film Festival-2024.
According to sources, as many as 100 films have been selected to be screened at Cannes World Film Festival out of which Odia flick Delivery Boy is one of them. The screening will be held in August, 2024.
The happiness of the entire crew and cast of the movie knew no bounds after they came to know about the screening of the movie at Cannes.
Directed by Ashwin Tripathy and produced by Jyotiranjan Mohanty, the movie Delivery Boy was released across the state on April 7, 2023. Later, it was released in various theatres in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and New Delhi.
The Odisha government had also declared the Odia movie tax-free as the film depicts how a delivery boy fights for justice after meeting with a road accident. In short, the film is based on road safety awareness.
The film features Buddhaditya Mohanty, Sailendra Samantray, Sushant Dasmahapatra, Priyambada and Suryamayee in lead roles.
