Bhubaneswar: Light to moderate rain/thunderstorm accompanied by lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is likely to affect some parts of districts of Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Khordha (including Bhubaneswar city), Ganjam, and Nayagarh within next three hours, said a nowcast warning issued by the regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) here at 5.10 PM today.
The weather agency apart from issuing a ‘Yellow’ alert for these districts has advised people to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions and be ready to move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
