Baripada: In a tragic incident, a minor girl was killed and three others were seriously injured in lightning strikes at Rangamatia village in Sorishpala panchayat under Bangiriposhi block of Mayurbhanj district on Friday.
According to reports, the deceased has been identified as Jayasini Marandi (8), daughter of Kandra Marandi and Sakara Marandi. Jayasini’s elder sister Jasmirani Marandi (10) was seriously injured in the lightning strike.
Similarly, Lukesh Tudu (6), and Anant Marandi (55) have been also injured in the lightning strike.
All were rushed to the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Bangiriposhi. While the doctor at the CHC declared Jayasini Marandi dead, others have been shifted to PRM Medical College & Hospital at Baripada after first aid.
