Bhubaneswar: In the last phase of election that concluded on Saturday, Odisha recorded 70.67% voter turnout in six Lok Sabha seats and 42 Assembly segments under these parliamentary constituencies.
Mayurbhanj Lok Sabha constituency recoded the highest polling at 73.81% followed by Jagatsinghpur which witnessed 73.06%.
Balasore remained in the third spot with 70.41% while Bhadrak saw avoter turnout of 70.34%.
Kendrapara parliamentary segment registered 68.64% voter turnout while 67.91% polling has been recorded in Jajpur.
Similarly, Bangiriposi Assembly segment registered the hightest voting of 77.52. Aul Assembly seat in Kendrapara district came out with lowest polling percentage of 62.38%.
Six parliamentary constituencies-Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur parliamentary constituencies along with 42 assembly segments falling under these Lok Sabha seats went to poll on Saturday in the last phase general election.
Odisha Chief Electoral Officer Nikunja Bihari Dhal said voting has been peaceful in the 10,882 polling booths, barring a few reports of EVM glitches, which were mostly resolved.
