Bhubaneswar: Newly elected BJP MLA from Khurdha Prasanta Jagadev, who was granted bail by a court in Bhubaneswar, was discharged from the SCB Medical College and Hospital on Sunday after 11 days of treatment.
The Additional District Judge-1 had granted him bail for three days beginning today (June 9).
Jagadev was admitted to the Medicine Department of SCBMCH.
He will be released on bail today for three days to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new BJP government on Monday.
He was granted bail on three grounds including, participation in the last rites of his nephew, attending the swearing-in ceremony of the new government and on health grounds.
Jagadev was arrested for allegedly vandalising an EVM during the election at a booth in Begunia of Khurdha district during the third phase of Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
