Bhubaneswar: Schools across Odisha will reopen on June 17 after summer vacation. The School and Mass Education Department has notified all schools in this regard and directed them to make preparations for the reopening of schools.
The notification specifies that all classrooms and toilets should be cleaned before the reopening of the schools. It also ensures that drinking water supply and mid-day meal items are procured beforehand. Teachers and assistants have been directed to join their duty before school reopens.
It is worth mentioning here that the state government had closed the schools for summer vacation from April 25 – ahead of the scheduled summer vacation due to the severe heatwave conditions across the state.
