Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today exuded confidence that the new BJP government in Odisha will usher in record development in the state.
Terming the swearing-in of the first BJP government as historic, Modi congratulated new Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and his deputies Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, besides other ministers during his participation in the oath-taking ceremony. .
“It’s a historic day in Odisha! With the blessings of my sisters and brothers of Odisha, @BJP4Odisha is forming its first-ever government in the state,” Modi posted on ‘X’.
“With the blessings of Mahaprabhu Jagannath, I am confident this team will usher in record development in Odisha and improve the lives of countless people,” the PM added.
Notably, Keonjhar MLA Mohan Majhi took oath as the 15th chief minister of Odisha with two of his deputies KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida. 13 other ministers also took the oath of office in the presence of a host of dignitaries at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar.
