Bhubaneswar: At a time when several districts of the State are reeling under intense hot and humid conditions, the latest prediction of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday has added more worries for people residing in coastal belts in particular.
Going by the latest prediction of IMD, hot and humid weather conditions are likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur and Kendrapara on June 18.
For June 19, IMD prediction reads: “Hot and humid weather conditions are likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati.”
For June 20, the weather department predicted hot and humid weather conditions likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati.
On the other hand, the weather office predicted heavy rainfall at a few places in Jharsuguda, Sambalpur and Bargarh districts on June 20 and Balangir, Nuapada, Kalahandi, and Kandhamal on June 21.
