Bhubaneswar: Hot and humid condition continues to prevail in Odisha as seven towns today recorded above 40 degrees C today.
Nuapada continued to be the hottest place registering 42.3 degrees C. Bolangir emerged as the second hottest with 42.2 Degrees C while Baripada remained in the third spot recording 41.4 degrees C.
Titilagarh and Boudh witnessed 41 and 40.8 degrees C temperature respectively. The mercury level also crossed 40 Degrees C in Sonepur and Talcher.
Twin City Cuttack and Bhubaneswar recorded 37 and 36.6 Degrees C respectively.
The India Meteorological Department has predicted heat wave condition to prevail in several parts of Odisha during next 24 hours. Similarly, several places are likely to experience thunderstorms and lightning.
Even though the south-west monsoon has set in over the Odisha, it has slowed down.
