Bhubaneswar: The regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar on Friday predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in three districts including Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, and Bhadrak.
According to IMD reports, these three districts will receive heavy to very heavy rainfall on Friday due to the active cyclonic circulation over the Bay of Bengal. IMD has issued a yellow warning to these districts.
There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in other districts as well. The weather office also predicted heavy rainfall in Balasore, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh and Sundargarh districts for June 28.
That apart, thunderstorms with lightning accompanied with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is likely to occur in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts.
For June 29, IMD predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall for Sundargarh, Jharsuguda and Bargarh districts.
