Man Shot Dead By Unknown Miscreant In Ganjam

Bhubaneswar: A man was shot dead by an unidentified miscreant over suspected previous enmity near Jateswar pond in Kabisuryanagar NAC in Ganjam district on Wednesday.

Trinath was sitting on a mandap near Jateswar pond when an unidentified man opened two rounds of fire at him. He died on the spot. After committing the crime, the miscreant fled the scene.

The villagers informed the Kabisuryanagar police following which Purusottampur SDPO and Kabisuryanagar police reached the spot.  Police seized Trinath’s body and started investigating the incident.

The reason of crime remains unclear. Police suspected past rivalry behind the murder.
