Miscreants Spray Colour On ATM’s CCTV Cameras, Loot Rs 6 Lakh In Sundargarh

Sundargarh: Miscreants looted Rs 6 lakh from a bank ATM at Sunaripada under Sundargarh Town police limits after spraying black colour on the CCTV camera on Friday night.

The miscreants after spraying the four CCTV cameras with black colour used a gas cutter to break open the ATM of Punjab National Bank located near Abhinandan Hotel at Sunaripada and decamped with Rs 6 lakh cash.

This morning a bank customer who went to withdraw money from the ATM reported the matter to bank authorities who later informed the police. Sundargarh Town police are investigating the matter.

“We have received a report today that some miscreants have looted cash from the Punjab National Bank ATM near Abhinandan Hotel in Regent Market area. Miscreants have destroyed the ATM. Our cyber team and local police have reached the spot and have started a preliminary investigation. The miscreants have also tampered with the CCTV cameras of the ATM  by spraying black colour. As per the bank authorities, the miscreants have decamped with around Rs 6.11 lakh cash from the ATM,” informed Himanshu Bhusan Behera, SDPO, Sundargarh.
