Tragedy Strikes In Sundargarh’s Mandira Dam: 2 Dead, 3 Rescued

Sundargarh: In a shocking incident, two people died after drowning in Mandira Dam, near Kansbahal in Sundargarh district, today.

The deceased have been identified as Suman Dang and Piyush Bakhala, from the Deokaran Dafai area under Viramitrapur police station and Jharbeda village under Raiboga police station, respectively.

According to sources, Suman and Piyush, along with three others, went to the dam for fishing when they accidentally fell into the river. While three others were rescued, Suman and Piyush died after drowning.

On being informed about the incident, Raiboga police reached the spot and started investigating the matter.
