Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday presented his maiden budget of Rs 2.65 lakh crore in the Odisha Legislative Assembly.
This year’s annual budget is 15 per cent more in comparison to the annual budget of last year.
Allocation for Agriculture in this budget has been increased as compared to the previous year.
While last year the allocation for Agriculture was Rs 24,829 crore, this year the allocation is Rs 33,919 crore.
Chief Minister Majhi informed that this year paddy procurement price has been fixed at Rs 3,100 per quintal whichn is Rs 800 more than the minimum support price (MSP) fixed for paddy by the Central government.
A corpus fund of Rs 500 crore for Shree Jagannath Temple has been provisioned.
The CM announced a new scheme for farmers – CM KISAN Yojana. An allocation of Rs 1935 crore for CM KISAN Yojana. Further, an allocation of Rs 5,000 crore has been made for Samrudhha Krushak Yojana.
Rs 649 crore has been announced for Sri Anna Abhiyan. An allocation of Rs 10,000 crore has been made for Subhadra Yojana. The BJP had announced Subhadra Yojana for women in its election manifesto.
An allocation of Rs 105 crore has been made for Antodaya Gruha Yojana while an allocation of Rs 5450 crore has been made under Gopabandhu Jana Arogya Yojana.
