Odisha CM Holds Marathon Grievance Hearing Session, 2403 Grievances Registered

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi along with Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, Ministers Nityananda Gond, Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, Bibhuti Bhushan Jena, Ganesh Ram Singkhuntia, Mukesh Mahaling, and Krushna Chandra Patra heard grievances of people for a long session stretching from 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM on Monday.

According to an official press release, as many as 2403 grievances were registered today on the third day of the CM’s grievance hearing session which commenced on July 1. More than 5,000 people met the Chief Minister and other Ministers today.

Additional Chief Secretary of General Administration Department Surendra Kumar, Principal Secretary of Social Security & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Bishnupada Sethi and Principal Secretaries and senior officers of various departments were present during the CM’s grievance hearing session.

Among those who had come to the CM’s grievance hearing session was Santosh Sahu, a physically challenged person from Tangi in Khordha district. Sahu’s complaint was despite him being appointed through proper process he was dismissed from his job. He alleged that for the last 8 years, he has been fending his five-member family with much difficulty. He returned after getting assurance from the Chief Minister that his case would be properly investigated and justice would prevail.

Similarly, a physically challenged youth hailing from a poor family in Ganjam district Bulu Biswal requested the Chief Minister to provide him a scooter for earning his livelihood and maintain his family. On being assured by the CM that a scooter would be provided to him he left happily.

Besides, 82-year-old Subhasini Dei has been drawing her old age pension from Begunia block.  She requested the CM to provide her old age pension at Bhubaneswar. Immediately, CM directed the Collector to do the needful.

Several such people came to meet the Chief Minister to get their problems resolved and after receiving assurance from the Chief Minister, they returned happy with hope.
