3 Labourers Critical As Crane Breaks Down At Construction Site In SCB

Cuttack: Three labourers were critically injured when a crane broke down at a construction site inside the SCB Medical College & Hospital (SCBMC&H) campus here on Friday.

The critically injured labourers have been admitted to the Casualty Department of the SCBMC&H.

The injured labourers have been identified as Mubarak Ansari, Bandhu Behera and Bansidhar. While Mubarak Ansari hails from Bihar, Bandhu Behera and Bansidhar are from Odisha.
The accident occurred at the construction site of a 10-storey building near the Acharya Harihar Cancer Hospital at the SCBMC&H campus. At least 50 labourers were working at the site when the accident occurred.

The crane broke down from the middle while it was lifting heavy material for the construction of the building and the load crashed on the three labourers on the ground.
