Deep Depression Over Gangetic West Bengal To Weaken In Next 24 Hours

Bhubaneswar: A deep depression located over Gangetic West Bengal continues to move slowly triggering heavy rain in West Bengal and bordering Districts of Odisha.

According to the latest update from the India Meteorological Department, the deep depression lay centered near latitude 22.6° N and longitude 88.5° E, close to east-northeast of Kolkata, on September 14.

The system is expected to maintain its intensity until forenoon today (Sunday) before gradually weakening into a depression over the next 24 hours. The deep depression is moving slowly westwards across Gangetic West Bengal and will continue to impact Jharkhand and North Chhattisgarh.

The Doppler Weather Radar at Kolkata is closely monitoring the situation, providing continuous updates on the storm’s trajectory and intensity.
