Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Wednesday appointed senior technocrat Guru Charan Das as the Managing Director of the Water Corporation of Odisha (WATCO).
According to a notification from the Housing and Urban Development (H&UD) department, Das, who currently holds the position of Additional Chief Engineer (Public Health) and serves as General Manager of WATCO Division II, has been promoted to the top role.
“In supersession of all previous orders, the government, under the authority of the Chief Minister, appoints Guru Charan Das as the Managing Director of WATCO with immediate effect,” stated the official notification from the H&UD department.
