Bhubaneswar: A series of low-intensity blasts rocked the Odisha capital, Bhubaneswar, late last night, leaving two persons injured and sending shockwaves across the city.
According to eyewitnesses, two blasts occurred in two locations such as Bapuji Nagar lane and Barhampur slum lane near Sishu Bhawan under the Capital Police station limits.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the blasts were triggered by two persons who came on a bike and threw bombs wrapped in bags. CCTV footage has captured the suspects fleeing the scene after throwing bombs.
On a tip-off, police rushed to the spot and examined the CCTV footage to identify the culprits. The motive behind the blasts is unclear.
Among the two injured, a critically injured person has been admitted to the Capital Hospital.
Police formed a special squad to investigate the incident and launched raids to arrest the culprits.
