Bhubaneswar: Over 60 passengers staged a protest at Biju Patnaik International Airport on Thursday after Air India flight IX 2932 from Bhubaneswar to Hyderabad was cancelled twice much to the inconvenience of passengers.
As per reports, the flight was initially scheduled to depart at 9:55 am on Wednesday but was cancelled and rescheduled to 8:45 am on Thursday. However, the flight was cancelled again, sparking outrage among passengers.
Protesting passengers alleged that airport authorities failed to provide any reason for the cancellation, leaving them stranded. Many had connecting flights to catch in Hyderabad, while others had urgent official commitments.
Left with no other option, frustrated passengers took to protest after the authorities failed to provide adequate explanation for the repeated cancellations.
Meanwhile, the airport authorities attributed the delay in the arrival of the flight from Hyderabad to technical issues.
