Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to attend the 150th birth anniversary celebration of legendary freedom fighter Birsa Munda in Rourkela on November 15. This iconic event will coincide with Jan Jatiya Gaurav Divas, honouring Birsa Munda’s remarkable contributions to India’s struggle for independence.

Talking to the mediapersons, Naik said, “November 15 commemorates the 150th birth anniversary of freedom fighter Birsa Munda. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to attend the celebrations in Rourkela, though his visit remains unconfirmed.”
Notably, November 15th marks Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, or Tribal Pride Day, honouring the birth anniversary of Birsa Munda, a legendary tribal freedom fighter born in 1875. This day celebrates India’s rich tribal heritage and recognizes Birsa Munda’s remarkable contributions to the country’s struggle for independence. The Indian government declared November 15th as Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas to acknowledge the sacrifices and bravery of tribal heroes like Birsa Munda.
