Bhubaneswar: Principal Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (H&UD) Department, Usha Padhee stressed the need to expedite the completion of ongoing urban development projects.
Chairing the monthly review meeting of Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) on Wednesday Padhee underscored the urgency of meeting project deadlines and directed ULBs to prioritize efficient service delivery and rapid response to public grievances.
Emphasizing accountability and timely action, she highlighted that accelerating project timelines is essential for maximizing community impact and addressing urban development needs.
Senior officials from the H&UD Department presented comprehensive progress updates, pinpointing achievements as well as areas needing immediate intervention.
Solutions to overcome bottlenecks were discussed in detail to prevent delays, with Padhee calling for an increased focus on project momentum and seamless implementation.
To ensure continued progress and accountability, the department announced that these review meetings will now be held regularly on the second Wednesday of each month, allowing for real-time monitoring and strategic adjustments as necessary.
