Baripada: A powerful blast occurred in Sanasulia village under Kaptipada police limits in Mayurbhanj district on Tuesday when a domestic LPG cylinder caught fire, blowing off the tiled roof of a house. Fortunately, no one was inside the house at the time of the incident.

The fire quickly spread to other parts of the house, destroying important documents, cash, and household belongings. Upon receiving information, Fire Service personnel rushed to the spot and managed to extinguish the blaze.

While the exact cause of the fire remains unclear, an electrical short circuit is suspected to have triggered the incident. Further investigations are underway to determine the exact cause.
