Bhubaneswar: Odisha Electronics and IT minister Mukesh Mahaling on Monday said that the government will ensure that Internet facilities are available in all villages of the state by March 2025.
Replying to a question in the Odisha Assembly, Mahaling said that there are 12,602 5G towers in the state as of now and a task force has been formed at the district-level to resolve the Internet problem in remote areas. “Steps are being taken to install new towers,” he added.
It has been observed that in the absence of Internet facility in remote areas of Odisha, people, including students, face problems. They are seen climbing trees or small hills to get Internet connectivity.
