Minor Boy Run Over By Speeding Car In Nayagarh, Mother & Elder Brother Critical

Nayagarh: A minor boy was killed while his mother and elder brother sustained critical injuries after a car ran over them near Kulurukumpa Chhack under Banigocha police limits in Odisha’s Nayagarh district on Monday morning. The injured woman and her elder son have been admitted to a hospital.

The deceased has been identified as Shubhankar Nayak (10), while the injured are Jyotsnarani Nayak and her elder son Subham Nayak.

According to reports, a woman was Jyotsnarani Nayak was standing on the roadside holding her two sons when a speeding car heading to Sonepur ran over them. While the younger son died on the spot, the mother and elder son sustained critical injuries.

On being informed, Banigocha police arrived at the accident spot and seized the car. They sent the body for post-mortem and detained the car driver for interrogation.
