Subarnapur: An elderly woman was run over by a speeding train while she was crossing the railway tracks near Narasinghgarh railway station in Odisha’s Subarnapur district on Saturday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Ratika Podh, a native of nearby Khambeswaripali.
According to reports, the accident occurred when the old lady was crossing the railway tracks to go to her agricultural field. He head was crushed beyond recognition in the incident.
On being informed, GRP personnel reached the spot and sent her body for autopsy.
