Bhadrak: A human skull was found in a fishing net near a culvert in Betada village under Basudevpur police limits, on Tuesday.
According to reports, a group of fishermen were fishing under a culvert near Sanskrit College in Betada when one of them was shocked to find a human skull caught in his net.
The fisherman immediately informed Basudevpur police, who rushed to the scene.
Upon further investigation, the police discovered a sack containing additional human bones and skeleton parts.
The area was also filled with a foul smell. The skeleton was recovered and sent for further investigation.
One of the fishermen started, “When we were fishing, we first pulled up a large human skull. After searching more, we found a hand, and people started going into the culvert to take pictures.”
A scientific team also arrived and conducted a detailed investigation into the incident.
