Bhubaneswar: In view of the prevailing flood situation in Ganjam district and the ongoing restoration and rehabilitation works, the district administration has cancelled the Sunday holiday today for all government officers and staff.
As per an office order issued by Collector & District Magistrate, Ganjam, all officers and staff of District Offices, Sub-Divisional Offices, Block Offices and other government establishments functioning within Ganjam district have been directed to attend their respective offices as usual on 08.11.2026 (Sunday) and remain present on duty to facilitate the effective execution of emergency-related works.
The order has been issued considering the urgent nature of emergency response and relief operations.
Any deviation or non-compliance with this order shall be viewed seriously, and appropriate disciplinary action, as deemed proper, shall be initiated against the erring officers/staff.
