Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday said that the second installment of Subhadra Yojana financial aid will be disbursed to eligible persons in March 2025 on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
According to the Chief Minister, around one crore women across the state are expected to be benefitted this time.
The Mohan Majhi government launched its flagship welfare scheme Subhadra to provide financial support to women belonging to the underprivileged sections of society, thereby helping to alleviate some of the economic burdens faced by many families.
Distribution through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode to beneficiaries’ bank accounts will ensure that all qualified women receive their due assistance in a timely and efficient manner, emphasising the importance of reaching every part of the community.
The first instalment of Rs 5,000 has been disbursed to around 80 lakh beneficiaries in three phases. As of December 1, a total of 1,05,36,612 women have applied under the Subhadra scheme.
