Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet on Wednesday approved a proposal to abolish the age stipulation for the selection of the Chairperson, full-time non-official members, and part-time members of the Odisha Law Commission.
This decision pertains to the resolution dated March 16, 2016, governing the selection criteria for these positions.
The move aims to address challenges in identifying and appointing eminent personalities with extensive knowledge in law, administration, and technical matters to the Commission.
By removing the age restriction, the government seeks to expand the pool of qualified candidates, ensuring that the Commission benefits from the expertise of experienced individuals.
