IAS Officer Hemant Sharma Promoted To Additional Chief Secretary Rank

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government on Wednesday promoted 1995 batch IAS officer Hemant Sharma, currently serving as Principal Secretary Department of Industries to the rank of Additional Chief Secretary. Sharma is allowed to continue in situ until further orders.

“In pursuance of sub-rule (2)(i) of rule 3 of the IAS (Pay) Rules, 2016, Shri Hemant Sharma, IAS(RR-1995) is allowed promotion to the Apex Grade i.e. Level-17 of the Pay Matrix in IAS. On promotion to the Apex Grade, Shri Sharma, IAS is appointed in the rank of Additional Chief Secretary and is allowed to continue in situ until further orders,” said a notification issued by the General Administration & Public Grievances Department.

Similarly, as per the notification 1994 batch IAS officer Ranjana Chopra has been allowed proforma promotion to the Apex Grade i.e. Level 17 of the Pay Matrix in IAS.
