Bhubaneswar: Veteran political leader and former Governor of Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, Biswabhusan Harichandan, was admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday due to health complications.
Harichandan, currently under medical care, is likely to be transferred to Hyderabad for advanced treatment, as informed by his son, Prithviraj Harichandan, Odisha’s Law and Excise Minister.
A team of doctors is closely monitoring the leader’s condition, with arrangements for his transfer underway. The 85-year-old, a senior BJP leader and former Odisha minister, served as Governor of Andhra Pradesh from 2019 to 2023. His health update has raised concerns among his well-wishers.
This is not the first time Harichandan has faced health issues; he was previously hospitalized in Bhubaneswar in September last year for similar complications.
