Odisha Vigilance Arrests Batasana GP Accountant In DA Case

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance has arrested S Partha Sarathi Bisoi, Accountant-cum-Data Entry Operator of Batasana GP under Kotpad block in Koraput district, following revelation of huge disproportionate assets during simultaneous raids at seven properties linked to him on Thursday.

During the raids it was found that Bisoi owned three buildings, 16 plots, one cashew processing unit on over 8500 sqft, gold jewellery weighing 285 gms, cash to the tune of Rs 2.45 lakh, three tractors, one Bolero vehicle, etc, for which he could offer any satisfactory explanation.

Following this, Bisoi was placed under arrest by Odisha Vigilance and will be forwarded to the court on Friday for possession of disproportionate assets.

In this connection, a case has been registered at the Koraput Vigilance PS against Bisoi.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
