Bhubaneswar: Three individuals were critically injured in a road accident on Saturday morning when a truck collided with another on National Highway 60, near Mirigimundi Chhak, under Rupsa Police Station in Balasore district.
According to reports, a truck transporting wood struck another truck carrying cashews. The impact left the driver and the helper of the cashew truck trapped inside the vehicle.
Upon receiving information, the Rupsa Fire Brigade and Rupsa Police promptly reached the site.
Using hydraulic cutters, they managed to rescue the trapped individuals, who were then rushed to Balasore District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for medical treatment.
