Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Legislative Assembly was plunged into chaos today as Congress and BJD members clashed over various issues.
The Congress members protested against the rising lawlessness in the state, while the BJD members demanded justice for farmers and criticized the government’s handling of the paddy procurement issue. BJD members alleged that the government had failed to provide adequate support to farmers, leading to widespread discontent.
As soon as the question hour began, the Opposition shouted slogans and alleged that the state government had failed to control the law and order situation, leading to a rise in crimes.
The Speaker of the House tried to restore order, but the members refused to budge. The House was eventually adjourned till noon due to the ruckus.
