Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange warning predicting moderate thunderstorms with lightning, hail, and gusty winds to hit four districts in Odisha within the next three hours.
As per IMD’s bulletin, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Bhadrak and Balasore districts will be affected by the weather conditions.
Besides the regional weather office has issued a yellow alert for three districts such as Jajpur, Kalahandi and Kandhamal predicting light thunderstorms with lightning and gusty surface wind speeds reaching 30-40 kmph within the next three hours.
Meanwhile, the IMD has advised people to check the weather forecast before embarking on their journeys and plan accordingly.
