Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj on Sunday.
Accompanied by his wife Priyanka Marandi and other family members, CM Majhi offered prayers at the Sangam and took the sacred dip during the Maha Kumbh Mela.
After the dip, CM Majhi said, “It is an extraordinary privilege and a deeply spiritual experience to witness the sacred Mahakumbh at Prayagraj. It’s a confluence of faith, tradition, and divinity.”
He further stated that the holy bath at the Triveni Sangam symbolizes the purification of the soul, the unity of humanity, and the eternal flow of wisdom and devotion.
Describing the event as a reflection of our cultural ethos, he said, “As crores of devotees from across the nation and beyond gather here with immense faith, the atmosphere becomes a reflection of India’s rich cultural heritage and spiritual ethos. The spirit of devotion, discipline, and harmony seen during this grand congregation is truly inspiring.”
He extended his reverence for this sacred occasion and prayed for the well-being, peace, and prosperity of all.
Expressing his gratitude to the Prime Minister for enhancing the spirit of India, he said, “My heartfelt thanks and gratitude to our beloved Prime Minister for his exceptional outlook and valuable vision to continuously elevate the spirit of India, from the hamlets to the international level. It’s my heavenly pleasure to work under his active guidance and empowered advice.”
He also thanked UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his dedicated efforts to make this event a grand success.
CM Majhi spoke with UP Chief Minister over the telephone and expressed his thanks for the wonderful arrangements at the Mahakumbh.
The CM also thanked Shri Satish Sharma, Minister for Food and Civil Supplies, Government of Uttar Pradesh, who received him at the Prayagraj airport and remained with him throughout the visit, during which he had a holy dip and performed puja and Aarti at the Sangam confluence, as per the rituals.
